Backspin the Ball

So, a solid question for the viewers out there. How do you generate backspin on the golf ball to get it to roll backwards when it hits the green? When you watch the professionals on T.V. I have always thought it was so cool when the golf ball hit the green and then spun back 100 feet ok, that’s a bit exaggerated but it is pretty cool to see it roll backwards when you hit the green. How have you all been able to do this? Any tips and tricks?
